Sajan Raj Kurup: I would bet big that it is creativity that will continue to define the X-factor in the business of communications
The fact is that most pure-play advertising biggies have been struggling across the world. And newer creative ecosystems are on the rise. The future of this business like any other business will get more and more technology-enabled

India's first marketing, communications and business consultancy for family-owned business (FOBs) and small to medium-sized business owners (SMEs).
Founded by Kurup, the Dining Table salutes the spirit of entrepreneurship, recognises and understands the challenges that come with owning a business. The new entity is one-of-its kind in India, providing end-to-end solutions, which includes marketing, design, business, legal, communication services, and organisational transformation all under one umbrella. Dining Table Creative Services lets SMEs and FOBs have a conversation about it over a meal, without the jargons or the intimidation that a boardroom comes with.

In a difficult year for the advertising business, CLA executives call it a period when they decided to invest for the future
Keeping in line with its objective of going “beyond traditional communication to newer forms of creative content” the agency ventured into setting up a content division, apart from having a city infrastructure design company or a venture fund to support entrepreneurs in creating brands and so on.

Sajan Raj Kurup, “What Sir Martin has just announced is what we have been quietly building for almost half a decade now in our own ingenious way. It does put a feather on our punt.”
Creativeland’s next decade of growth will come from design-tech, venture capital and content IPs. We have been taking small yet steady significant steps by organically nurturing these diverse capabilities and acquiring the right skill sets.

Enter the new office premises of Creativeland Asia in Kurla, Mumbai and it’s like walking into the rarefied atmosphere of academia
the exposed brick walls reminiscent of well known business schools that wear a similar look. It turns out that Sajan Raj Kurup, Founder and Chairman of Creativeland Asia, has designed the interiors himself, and consciously sought to recreate the aura of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, campus where he grew up. Therefore, the bricks we talk of have come all the way from Ahmedabad – the same high quality Katkona bricks used at NID and IIM-A – said to be conducive to thinking and creativity.
